Years 5 & 6

Enrolments Now Open for 2026

We are excited to announce that enrolments are now open for Years 5 and 6 commencing in 2026 at Pacific Online Christian School, our newest learning community.

This stage of schooling is one of the most transformative in a child’s journey. As students prepare to move from primary into secondary years, our program is designed to nurture, grow, and equip them with the knowledge, character, and confidence needed for high school and beyond. At Pacific Online, students will benefit from strong academic rigour, intentional pastoral care, and a Christ-centred foundation.

Building Confidence

Preparing For The Future

Year 5 and 6 is a crucial time of transition, as students begin to assume greater independence and responsibility in their education and personal world. We prepare our students for this important time by encouraging perseverance, emotional intelligence and curiosity.

We don’t believe that “one size fits all” so our incredible teachers provide differentiated learning, ensuring that each child feels confident in navigating their own work. Our online platform is designed for individual learning, without fear of “load” comparison amongst peers, this builds great confidence in our students, knowing they are capable of completing what is given to them, with the support of our teachers who understand their personal needs and goals.

Engaging Curriculum

Academic Excellence

Our Year 5 and 6 curriculum challenges and engages students through a dynamic online learning platform. With a strong emphasis on core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, and the Humanities, we help students develop a deeper understanding of key concepts while fostering critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Our interactive lessons are designed to keep students motivated, promoting active learning as part of an online Christian community.

A Supportive Environment

Known, Loved, Cared For

Relationship and well-being are deeply important to us. We are dedicated to providing a nurturing, Christ-centred environment where each student’s story is known and where they are seen. Our team of experienced teachers work closely with families to ensure that every child receives the individual attention they need to grow. Whether through one-on-one guidance, individual learning plans, or team efforts, our education is constantly being adjusted and scaffolded to support their individual learning needs.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”

JEREMIAH 29:11

Frequently Asked Questions

Are subjects delivered live and in person by the teachers, or are they all pre-recorded?

Learning is both live (synchronous) and on-demand (asynchronous), allowing students to connect with their teacher and peers in real-time classes, whilst completing their work at a pace suited to them through Canvas (our Learning Management System).

Am I responsible for teaching my child at home?

No, we operate similar to face-to-face learning in which all teaching and work is delivered by our teaching staff. Each day involves live classes and the student’s individual work that is completed in their own time. Our teachers are available to support learning, live, within school hours.

Is the curriculum the same as a physical school?

Yes, Pacific Online Christian School is a Campus of Pacific Coast Christian School and follows the NSW curriculum and NESA (New South Wales Education Authority) requirements. Pacific Coast Christian School is fully accredited through NESA to deliver curriculum via distance education through its sub-school Pacific Online.
